Support and Incentives – Portugal 2020

Portugal 2020 is the Partnership Agreement between Portugal and the European Commission, which brings together the five European Structural Funds and Investment Funds – ERDF, Cohesion Fund, ESF, EAFRD and FEAMP – which define the principles of programming that enshrines the economic, social and territorial development policy to promote in Portugal between 2014 and 2020.

 

These programming principles are aligned with Intelligent, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, pursuing the EUROPE 2020 STRATEGY.

 

It is in this alignment that BEE2FIRE, S.A. is running the following project:

Project No. 34482 – Internationalization of SMEs

 

Individual project developed by BEE2FIRE, S.A., financed by € 265,254.75 by the FEDER under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program, contracted with the Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade of Portugal, E.P.E. (AICEP), with a total eligible investment of € 589,455.00; and with an implementation period from 2018-07-01 to 2022-06-29.

 

This program aims to develop and apply new business models for SMEs, especially with regard to internationalization.

Project No. 38342 – R&D

 

Individual project developed by BEE2FIRE, S.A., funded by € 420.043,52 by the FEDER under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program, contracted with the Competitiveness and Innovation Agency, I.P. (IAPMEI), with a total eligible investment of € 73.957,88; and with an implementation period from 2019-06-01 to 2021-05-31.

 

This program aims to strengthen research, technological development and innovation.

 

The “FireAI – Intelligent Forest Fire Detection Solution” project aims to develop an intelligent forest fire detection system that can combine two strands: highly reliable early stage fire detection, even under the most varied and adverse terrain conditions, atmospheric and environmental conditions combined with easy, simple and especially low cost implementation.

 

The aim is to develop a system that “simulates” a highly skilled human operator in image analysis, staring uninterruptedly at a screen transmitting continuous multi-angle images of a forest of any size.
